소형 디젤엔진의 3차원 유독특성 및 연소실 최적화에 관한 연구

In an effort to improve performance and simultaneously reduce emissions for light duty diesel engine, current investigation is demonstrated for improving performance of a four cylinder diesel engine of 2.9L displacement. The transient flow in direct injection engine was analyzed by using the CFD code during 4 cycle processes. Experimental tools is very difficult to investigate the port shape, but CFD code can be easily applied to the port evaluation. Starting from a baseline configuration, a DOE(Design of Experiment) study was carried out in order to narrow the search space around the potential candidates for the global optimum, and in order to identify the parameters with the highest sensitivity. The model, which consists of a full piston to optimize the eccentric bowl in the steel forged piston crown, is used to calculate steady state operating temperature, thermal stress and thermal deformation of the piston.
