Vehicle-to-Building Availability Analysis based on the Flexible Building Guide and the Vehicle Fleet Modeling Associated with the Building Category

As electric vehicle(EV) is spreading, the instability of the power grid has been magnified by uncoordinated and random charging of large-scale EV fleets. To mitigate these problems, it is important to design a flexible charging coordination scheme which can adaptively respond to supply and demand of electricity. The vehicle-to-grid(V2G) service is introduced as a potential solution, where EVs can work as distributed energy resources of the power grid as well as dominant loads. As a preliminary usage of EV energy ahead of V2G, this paper focuses on the EV integration to the building, also called as vehicle-to-building(V2B). The proposed V2B charging coordination scheme maximizes net profits of EV owners, while providing peak load shaving for the building. The coordination is formulated mathematically using binary integer linear programming. In order to verify the performance of the proposed V2B charging coordination, EV fleets and load profiles were modeled 빌딩 유형 별 차량 운행패턴 모델링과 유연한 빌딩 가이드 기반 전기차 빌딩 전력 연계 가용성 분석 583 in associated with the building category based on actual observations. The proposed V2B charging coordination is numerically evaluated under 30% of EV penetration scenario. The result shows that the proposed V2B approach can provide extra energy cost savings with a positive effect on the power grid by the distribution of the peak load.
