An Interactive Framework for Video Colorization

Colorization is a challenging and interesting technique of adding colors to grayscale images and videos. An interactive processing framework for video colorization is proposed. First the key frame is colorized by color blending. Then the consecutive frames are processed by color transfer from the colorized result of their previous frames, where two color transfer methods based on true motion estimation and locally strict motion estimation are combined. This colorization framework has been tested with real grayscale videos and the results demonstrate its validity.
