ROAD TRAFFIC CONTROL VIA INDUCTIVE LOOPS APPLIED IN A URBAN INTERSECTION

A combination of synchronous programs adjusted by Microadjustment used in high traffic periods and peak and unrestricted zonal programs, asynchronous full time adjusting “green” time selected hours of low traffic or sparse, is a promising solution monitoring and optimizing traffic. In case Study on adaptive traffic light solution implementation in Oradea, at the intersection of Transilvania street with Boulevard Stefan cel Mare, proposed to include traffic detectors and inductive loops as structural components of the modernized traffic system of transport and traffic adaptive system in this intersection. There are presented charts variants of the scheme at traffic lights Transilvania street- Boulevard Stefan cel Mare for adaptive traffic light functioning by inductive loop detectors and traffic. By testing several program variants, it has come to implement the signaling program optimally to solve the pending loss of  “green” time phase, where traffic volume is zero conflict.
