A Web-based CAD system

Abstract Computer-aided design on the Internet/Intranet is exploring new frontiers in the design environment. A new Web-based CAD system is introduced in this paper. The designer can employ this CAD system installed on the server to build a three-dimensional model of products through the Web browser of any system. A new architecture and database of a system are discussed. The proposed organization is implemented on the World Wide Web using Java and CORBA.
