Waterfront is considered as a means just for economic growth because of rapid development of industry in 1970s and for accompanying enlargement of possibility of practical use of area. But according to increase of family income and operation of five-day workweek enforcement, a tendency to enjoy various kind of leisure is going to progress vigorously. Especially appearance of the green-city or eco-city is recognized the important index of healthy and happy life of citizen, and so the utilization of waterfront called 'the isle of land', which is lacked the connection between the quality of scenary of the city and its fringe, is raising its head so the concern of the efficient way to utilize waterfront is increasing lately. In case of Busan, there are both sea and river, so there is a lot of potential energy of development to utilize waterfront efficiently and we need to enlarge the image of Busan using that. For that, it may be the righteous way to develop that area corresponded with need of local citizen rather than leaded to nations or local government.
