An Initial Survey of Impact Mechanism of Railway Noise on Wildlife and its Evaluation Method

In Tibet,this paper studied the impact of railway noise on Grus nigricollis,the first class national protected animals.By the simulation of railway noise source,the research also studied the impact mechanism of it on wildlife.This research showed that with the increase of environmental noise,first,the wildlife will stop and listen because of alert behavior;second,it will run away with the environmental noise up to 60dB;third,it will run to a distance of more than 60m away from the noise source,and the group still in the restless state until calm.This simulation method not only could improve the environmental impact evaluation of railway project,but also could establish a scientific method of evaluation techniques and protective measures.
