Multidisciplinary prospective in cryptology

In recent times, scientists, researchers and engineers have become increasingly specialized. To reach the high depths of knowledge and expertise which are required of them nowadays, scientists focus their attention on minute areas of study; the current paradigm in our jobs is far from the polymath or Renaissance man of ancient times. However, the most complex problems we face still need the application of different disciplines to tackle them, which creates a necessity for interdisciplinary collaboration. Thus today's experts in science and engineering must not only be able to reach achievements within their particular field of study, but must also have the ability to work together with experts from other fields in a multidisciplinary team -- both in the worlds of academy and business. Multidisciplinary refers to knowledge associated with more than one existing academic discipline or profession. Multidisciplinary approaches is also encouraged in help shaping innovation of the future. A multidisciplinary approach to problem solving involves drawing appropriately from multiple disciplines to redefine problems outside of normal boundaries and reach solutions based on a new understanding of complex situations. Multidisciplinary working is often seen as revolutionary by skill-centred specialists but it is simply a fundamental expression of being guided by holism rather than reductionism. With most services and products now being offered through digital communications, new challenges have emerged for cryptology specialists. A Multidisciplinary Perspectives in Cryptology presents a range of topics on the Cryptology methods and safety of information and communication technology. It brings together methods in applied mathematics, computer science and engineering, telecommunication sciences, physics, chemistry, Digital Signal processing, Error Correcting Codes, information theory, electrical engineering, hardware realization aspects, Soft Computing Techniques, Biotechnology and Nanotechnology. The session aims to collect the papers oriented towards the introduction on multidisciplinary aspects and their importance in implementation of the new methods and algorithms designed for cryptography, cryptanalysis, and complexity evaluation of the designed algorithms. It improves the ability to process and manage information and knowledge-related processes in order to create new knowledge.
