Kinematical Simulation of Spade Punch Planter for Maize

Based on structure and characteristic analysis of precision spade punch planter for maize, its kinematics simulation has been conducted. The results show that the shape of spade moving track is dimensional spiry cycloid, so the hatch on the spade soil opener has no contact with the soil during hole-forming process, which ensures that there is no jam in the throwing opening. And the interference between spade and seeds during throwing process occurs at the bottom of spade right side and the top of spade left side, so the left side of the spade should be inclined and the installed position of spade should offset a little clockwise. Therefore a theoretical basis is provided for the design of the precision spade punch planter for maize.
