Experience With Design Optimisation Of Induction Motors Driving Pumpsets For Energy Conservation

This paper discusses design optimization of induction motor for irrigation pump application under realistic conditions, by taking input KVA as the objective function. Following the sensitivity analysis to effect suitable design modifications, it compares the optimized design with the standard design and highlights the performance of the motors based on such designs.
