Food Security Indicators for Subsistence Farmers Sustainability: A System Dynamics Approach

Foodsecurityconceptsareextensivelyusedinhouseholdsasameasureofwelfare,toconceptualise operationalusefulnessinthedesign,implementation,andevaluationofpolicies.Mostresearchis focusedonimprovingfoodsecurityandsustainabilityandthepatternsstillremaintenuous.This articleexploresfoodsecurityindicatorsforsustainabilitybyusingsystemdynamicstounderstandthe interconnectednessofthefoodsecuritysystem.Thisisdonebyanalysingquantitativeandqualitative conceptsoffoodsecurityindicators.Thesimulationresultshowsdynamicsofcroplanddecreasing withincreasingpopulationastheyneedfood,energyandspacetosurvive.
