On-Line Fault Diagnosis: An Approach Combining Deduction Systems and Petri Nets

Abstract A new method to on-line fault diagnosis of discrete event systems is presented in this paper. Combining deduction systems and Petri nets, the diagnosis system is based on the predicate logic description getting through the transformation of the Petri net model of the plant to be diagnosed.
