The Maximum Electron Energy for Cherenkov Radiation in Hyperbolic Metamaterial

We demonstrate theoretically and numerically, in type II hyperbolic metamaterial, the upper limit of electron energy for Cherenkov radiation could be tuned in a large range, which might be useful for particle velocity detection.
