A new approach of transfer function bound of turbo code on Rayleigh fading channel

We apply a new approach to calculate the transfer function bound of the turbo code on the Rayleigh fading channel. The method involves direct calculation of the desired components of the constituent convolutional code transfer function and does not require algebraic matrix inversion. This method can be trivially adapted to accommodate arbitrary periodic puncturing patterns. Simulations indicate that by limiting the size of input code weight i and output code weight d, the computing scale can be reduced and the performance of turbo code conform to the average bounds on high E/sub b//No region.
