Stansted airport development: a case study

Abstract A general description of construction project management arrangements for the Stansted Airport Development is given. This involves organization of a team of resident managers and employing a consultant contractor for advice. The design team and those responsible for actual construction are selected from the point of view of client objectives with regard to quality performance, cost, and financial budget. Through a series of questions and answers pertaining to the actual project, the various factors relevant to its successful outcome are established.
