Design and Implementation of Printed Multi-frequency Slot Antenna

A printed slot antenna which can work at four frequency bands at the same time is designed.Such antenna is achieved by adding a horizontal slot on a triangular radiating unit, and the feeding part is a co-planar waveguide structure. The surface current on the antenna is analyzed through the CST Microwave Studio software, and the influence of the slot structural parameters on the pass band of the antenna is achieved. Then the designed multi-frequency antenna which can work at four frequencies(1.8/2.4/3.5/5.2 GHz) is manufactured and tested in the microwave anechoic chamber. The simulation and measurement results show that such antenna can work at four frequency bands and has omni-directional radiation characteristic on the H plane in the working frequency bands. The size of such antenna is 44 mm×48 mm and follows single-side printing form.Besides,it has characteristics of miniaturization, low cost and easy fabrication. And it can be widely applied to the wireless terminals of the mobile communication system.
