Design of CCIB Works Associated with Qianwan Dock Construction Project of Qingdao Port

The present paper describes the design of the CCIB works associated with the Qianwan Dock Construction Project at Qingdao Port. The port is one of the foreign trading complexes in China. The works was financed and developed by CCIB (China National Commodity Inspection Bureau) to control the import and export goods handled through the Qianwan Dock of the port. As a quality control department for import and export commodities, CCIB play an important role in legislation functions similar to the Customer House. The key to the design of the works is the design of the technological processes, which must comply with the international normal practices as well as the codes agreed by the both sides of the trade. On the other hand, the sample collection, preparation and testing method have direct effect on the certification and settlement for the international trading business and their results would serve as the principal basis for dealing with disputes which might arise from such business.
