신조 철도차량 객차의 냉난방 성능시험 수행방안 연구

When a newly manufactured rail car is operated at the field, various unexpected problems are observed. Especially, unsuccessful heating or cooling performances is one of the most frequently observed problems. For this reason, United States or European countries require the climatic testing for newly manufactured rail car before their delivery. In this study, a practical testing method to test the heating performance of heating system under low temperature condition and the cooling performance of cooling system under high temperature was investigated. In case of heating performance test, warm-up from dead cold condition, warm-up from layover condition, heating under maximum operating condition, and heating under steady-state operating condition tests were investigated. In case of cooling performance test, high ambient pull-down test, cooling under maximum operating condition, and cooling under extreme ambient temperature operating condition tests were investigated. This study is expected to play an important role for optimizing the thermal comfort of passengers before the operation of newly manufactured rail car.
