Combining Social Network Analysis and Web Mining Techniques to Discover Interest Groups in the Blogspace

The purpose of the research paper is to analyze the characteristics of users in social networking websites as well as the related contents of the websites. This research expect to use the techniques of social network analysis and web mining to illustrate the networks of the blog users and by this to discover the interest groups. The analysis results will then be used to construct a recommendation mechanism and system. Furthermore, we expect that the concept of target-marketing can be achieved according to the proposed system.
