INTEGRATED MEASURING TECHNIQUE FOR ROCK PRESSURE DETERMINATION

The article investigates the deformation of tunnel linings through rock pressure. The interaction is analyzed by determining the loading on a tunnel lining from the measured deformation at consecutive points along the intrados of the lining. The investigations are restricted to deformations and loadings in the plane of the arch. It is also assumed that such deformations are sufficiently small to allow the use of small-deformation theory. The suitability of such instruments as the curvometer and the deformeter for measuring these deformations is also discussed. /TRRL/
