In this paper the model of numerical simulation for calculating seismic response and dynamic stability of soil slopes is proposed. The general stress field of slopes under earthquake loading may be considered to be the superposition of gravitational stress field and the additional dynamic stress. field. Then the two stress fields may be studied independently of each other. The displacements and stresses of soil slopes of unbounded region are calculated by the method of lumped-mass explicit finite element and multi-transmitting formula. The quantitative evaluation method of dynamic stability of soil slopes is proposed.
