Managerial Competencies: Fact or Fiction?

Good managers have always been recognised for their skills. Now, no manager can afford to be without “competencies”. This article assesses the validity of different approaches to this new management magic. Its conclusion for practitioners is: Watch Out! There can be more fiction than fact in this lucrative obsession.
