Approaches to Quality Assessment of Traffic Information Services

The paper discusses different approaches of assessing quality of traffic data and related services. The quality is considered as all of the following, complying with formal data requirements like full documentation according to the specification, technical data requirements like complying to the specified data structure, content accuracy like how the description fit the real problem and finally the service quality like availability, timelines and other parameters. The article describes key features of published approaches to quality assessment i.e. Quantis project, TIH, ISO 21707, Qbench and QKZ and on one use case from Czechia shows the importance of quality assessment.
