A hierarchical nanostructured Fe34Cr34Ni14Al14Co4 high-entropy alloy with good compressive mechanical properties

Abstract A non-equiatomic Fe 34 Cr 34 Ni 14 Al 14 Co 4 high-entropy alloy was designed and prepared. The alloy displayed novel nanostructures consisting of hierarchical Fe-Cr-rich and Ni-Al-rich phases. As a result, the alloy exhibited good compressive mechanical properties both at room and elevated temperatures, superior to many high-entropy alloys and conventional alloys.
