An extension of the two-slot radiation model to stacked patches with infinite and finite ground plane

This Letter presents a new radiation model for stacked-patch antennas. The model is based on the two-slot model and consists of a four- or six-element array, depending on the supposition of infinite ground plane. The parameters that can be extracted from this model, such as coupling coefficient, surface-wave coefficients, and phases are very useful in stacked-patch design. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
