A theoretical study of the ultra-wideband wireless propagation channel based on the scattering centers

A methodology based on the decomposition of the total field into numerous scattering centers is suggested for the study of multipath propagation in wireless communications. A canonical structure has been used as an example to illustrate the methodology. Some interesting mechanisms of multiple diffractions have been extracted and studied by comparing our accurate results with the closed forms based on the GTD theory approximation.
