Dependence of water viscosity on temperature and pressure

AbstractIn the first approximation, the following formula is derived for water viscosity as a function of temperature and pressure: 1 $$\eta = \eta _0 \exp \left[ {ap + \frac{{E - bp}}{{R(T - \theta - cp}}} \right],$$ where p is the pressure and E, η0, θ, a, b, and c are constants. A formula obtained in the second-order approximation contains terms quadratic in pressure and temperature-dependent coefficients outside pressure terms.
