PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PAPAN KAYU AKSARA JAWA MELALUI MODELLING THE WAY UNTUK SISWA KELAS III SD

Currently, the learning to read Javanese letters is still low due to students' lack of comprehension of the code or symbol or shape of the letters, so it is very important for teachers to be able to upgrade the quality of their learning by implementing interesting and attractive learning strategies. Research objectives are 1) To find out the use of Javanese Alphabets Wooden Board teaching media through The Way model for third-grade elementary school students and 2) To determine the effectiveness of Javanese Alphabets Wooden Board media through The Way model for third-grade elementary school students. This research belongs to research and development using the ADDIE model as the approach. ADDIE model is a model with the following stages of research: (1) analysis; (2) design; (3) development; (4) implementation; (5) evaluation. The research was conducted on third-grade students of SDIT Ibnu Hajar Batu, in the amount of 26 students. Based on the results and the discussions which are gained by the researcher, it can be concluded that the development of Javanese Alphabets Wooden Board learning media by The Way model in third-grade students of SDIT Ibnu Hajar Batu received feasible and valid results. Javanese Alphabets Wooden Board learning media by The Way model got 88.89%. The percentage from material expert gained 92.5% and the percentage of learning practitioner experts obtained 82.5%. The application of learning media was carried out to the third-grade students of SDIT Ibnu Hajar Batu with a total of 26 students. The results of the effectiveness from Javanese Alphabets Wooden Board through The Way model for third-grade students of SDIT Ibnu Hajar Batu could be investigated from the students' responses which were acquired out of questionnaires. In a nutshell, the Javanese Alphabets Wooden Board teaching media using The Way model obtained a percentage value of 87.98 that belonged to very decent criteria without revision.
