Discussion of Power Surveillance System Using GPRS Technology to Communicate

GPRS as a means of communication has an obvious advantage over conventional way of communication.The apphcations of it has advantages like security,reliability,real time,high transfer speed and high resource utilization,and it is widely applied in power surveillance,power load management and meter reading system.New kind of wireless power surveillance system created using these advantages of GPRS can monitor the electric quantity,voltage,power,frequency, power factors,etc through long range and it can be applied in the automatic management of power system.It will be an important development direction to utilize GPRS wireless net provided by China Mobile to transmit data in power system.
