In this paper, the authors have studied the characteristics and current application status of mainstream lighting control protocols, that is, DMX512 Protocol, RDM Protocol, ART-NET Protocol and ACN Protocol. Firstly, the authors briefly introduce the development and characteristics of DMX512 Protocol and RDM Protocol, as well as their working principles. Then, compare the similarities and differences between ART-NET Protocol and ACN Protocol in areas such as network transmission performance and intelligent device management. Finally, the authors explain the present applicant status and existing problems and put forward their own views.
