La premiere partie de l'article fait la revue des methodes experimentales de detection des lactines (glucides immobilises sur porteurs ou sur matrice, glucides de surface cellulaire) conjugues bifonctionnels). La deuxieme partie presente les fonctions biologiques attribuees aux lextines (endocytose, transfert intracellulaire, interaction cellule-cellule, interaction cellule-substrat, transduction de signal, fertilite). En conclusion, l'article souligne la plurifonctionnalite frequente des lectines (existence de zones fonctionnelles additionnelles aux fonctions de reconnaissance des glucides
