Impatiens yilingiana sp. nov. and I. huangyanensis subsp. attenuata subsp. nov. (Balsaminaceae) from Zhejiang, eastern China

A new species and a new subspecies of Impatiens (Balsaminaceae) from Zhejiang, China, are described and illustrated. The new species Impatiens yilingiana is morphologically similar to I. noli-tangere, but differs in having lateral sepals narrowly ovate, wings with a 4–5 mm long stipe at base, obliquely bi-lobed at apex, wings and lip (lower sepal) without purple spots, and carinate dorsal costae of the standards. The new subspecies I. huangyanensis subsp. attenuata differs from the typical entity in having larger lateral sepals and lower sepals attenuately constricted to a spur. In addition, micromorphology of pollen grains and seed coat of the new taxa are compared with related taxa.
