Automatic coloring of grayscale images based on intelligent scene analysis

This paper is devoted to the automatic coloring of grayscale images. Existing solutions of this problem are investigated. Their advantages and disadvantages are identified. The basic methods of grayscale image coloring are considered. A two-step automatic coloring technique is proposed. Methods and algorithms are described.
