Derivation, representation, and resumption: the domain of weak crossover

L'A. reanalyse ce que signifie pour une chaine syntaxique le fait d'etre formee par reprise par opposition a la derivation, et considere que le domaine dans lequel apparait le croisement faible (WCO) est sensible a la difference dans les types de chaines. Il montre que la distribution des effets du WCO resulte d'une condition de coherence sur les chaines-Ā qui empeche un simple element lieur Ā de mener simultanement les chaines representationnelles et derivationnelles. Le meme principe de coherence qui derive des faits WCO derive ensuite de la distribution des effets du WCO secondaire ainsi que des effets du croisement fort
