Method and apparatus for Totzeitregelung in switching power supplies

The invention relates to a method for adapting a dead time (t_tot) between the beginning of opening a first switching element (1.5.1) and the beginning of the closing of a series connected second switching elements (1.5.2) in a switching regulator (1.5) a switching power supply ( 1), comprising - wherein a test voltage (U_OUT) via the second switching element (1.5.2) is measured and - wherein the dead time (t_tot) is varied so that the deviation of the measured measurement voltage (U_OUT) from a desired value (U_Soll) is minimized and the measured voltage or limited - wherein the first and the second switching element (1.5.1, 1.5.2) with the thus determined delay time (t_tot) are actuated. The invention further relates to a device for performing such a method, comprising a measuring unit (2), a processing unit (3) and a control unit (4).
