Diesel generator(D/G) set is supported by resilient mounts for vibration isolation and anti-vibration design is applied to avoid the resonance by the diesel engine excitations in early design stage. D/G set often experiences the resonance by the excitations of main engine or propeller with the rigid body modes nevertheless. And then the avoidance of resonance is difficult because of predicting the exact natural frequencies and considering the several excitations and 6 rigid body modes simultaneously. In this paper, effective design method to avoid the resonance was proposed by the quantitative evaluation for difference between calculation and actual condition. Furthermore the mixed mounting method which used two types of mounts was proposed to control the natural frequencies minutely and verified with experiment.
