Analysis of waveguide Tee‐junctions with discontinuities using FDTD

The propagation characteristics of electromagnetic waves in a waveguide tee-junction with various discontinuities are investigated by the finite-difference time-domain technique with the perfectly matched layer. The electromagnetic field components and S-parameters are obtained and compared with experimental data and theoretical data computed by the other method. The effects on the S-parameters caused by the discontinuities in the tee-junction are investigated. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 21: 267–269, 1999.
