Determination of Optimum Hysteresis Bandwidth to Improve the Operation of Electric Machines

So far, many techniques have been presented for optimizing energy consumption in drives toincrease their efficiency. In this paper, a new method for reducing energy consumption in drives isdeveloped. Using motor input current THD and inverter commutation loss conduit us to an optimalpoint for hysteresis bandwidth. Up to now, any study has not been carried out over this field. Inthis paper, firstly a proper bandwidth is proposed. Then, a new index is proposed to determineaforementioned objectives in order to derive an appropriate hysteresis bandwidth.
