Usulan perbaikan kualitas pada proses pelapisan galvanis dengan penerapan metode fuzzy failure mode and effect analysis (Fuzzy FMEA) di PT Citra Galvanizing Indonesia

PT Citra Galvanizing Indonesia is a company which moves in the field of galvanized coating services against steel products to avoid corrosion. The intense competition with similar companies make PT Citra Galvanizing Indonesia continues to improve the quality of galvanized coating result.This research made to the process of galvanized coating with purpose to find the main causes of failure and its corrective solution. Based on interviews with the company, direct observation and data collection discovered that there are failures in the process of the galvanized coating. To overcome these problems , this research uses Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to identify the failure process, causes of failure, the effects and company control to handling the causes of the failure. After all is identified, The company will give the value of Severity (S), Occurance (0) and Detectability (D) against any failure of the process that occurs through the questionnaire. S, 0 and D values are processed in the FMEA method is vague because there were doubts at the time of determining the value. For that, this research used Fuzzy method to assert the vague value. In this method, steps taken are Fuzzification, Fuzzy Rule Base and Deffuzification. The output of fuzzy method is Fuzzy Risk Priority Number (FRPN), The value of FRPN will determine cause of failure that become priority to repaired. Based on the data processing has been done, acquired a major cause of failure that become priority to repaired is prefluxing bath\'s burner machine disturbance (FRPN = 705). Solution to avoid this failure is implement the preventive maintenance burner machine appropriate the predetermined schedule.
