An experimental study on the fabrication of the molar resin crown with rapid prototyping technology

AIM:To make the fabrication of the molar resin crown with rapid prototyping (RP) technology. METHODS: By the CNC laser scan system, the wax pattern of full crown was scanned and the 3D shape was retrieved in the computer. Using the digital model, the crown was fabricated by RP system. RESULTS: The digital model was established and the resin crown was successfully made. CONCLUSION: The RP system can be applied in the fabrication of the molar resin crown.
