On the opening of the port in Incheon, Japan, China and Western countries had established and developed each settlements in Incheon. Particularly Japan had made extension of his trade power and increasing of his population for the sake of his benefit, and had transplanted Japanese traditional house. In addition, In Incheon, had flow of various foreign architectural style, and they had created architectural new styles through of methode of cultural intersection system, by process of cultural opposition, collision and fusion, between the existing traditional system in Korean and the inflow system. Especially, “welling”have implied plenty of its cultural factor, In Incheon. And so, at the foreigner’ dwelling space, the transition process of spacial structure extremely show us union process with each culture. Finally, it is important that reanalysis by drawing comparison between dwelling system of foreigners and existing condition in the period of modern terms. In this thesis, I have research its original form about foreigner’ residence and analysis transition of spacial system on the dwelling space from 1883 to 1945 at each??settlement in incheon. Factors of it’ transition are divided into following four categories. After the establishment of each settlement, 1) The executive system, law connected with architecture or dwelling. 2) The introduce of modern architectural materials and technology, and visitation of architects and building engineer(include of technicians). 3) The autogenous change due to vernacular factors, such as weather, wind and temperature, water and earth, environment and so on, 4) After 1905, the enlightenment and studies about implement of dwelling systems, and experienced architectural competitions. Within those categories, give a concrete form to dwelling system, fo example, width of road, width, length and area of a building and a plot, orientation of entrance, height of a building and the eaves, depth of wall, finishing materials of building for fire, spacial structure(include plan type), mass volume, elevation and sectional type and so on.
