For uncertain discrete-time linear systems under continual gain actuator fault, optimal guaranteed cost reliable control with continual gain actuator fault is presented. Based-on LMIs, the sufficient condition of standard and reliable control existence are given. On the basis of convex optimization theory, the design method about optimal guaranteed cost reliable controller and standard controller transform convex optimization arithmetic. Simulation results are shown to effectiveness of the design method. Furthermore, the comparisons of the optimal guaranteed cost standard system and the reliable system show the necessity of reliable control.
