The Ancient Fragment Collection at the Museo Archeologico in Florence, Italy, a Digital Proposal to Allow Its Access

The object of the study, is a small portion of the garden at the Museo Archeologico in Florence. It's a collection of fragments from the Roman Age in Florence; they were found during the 19th century and put together in temple shaped constructions. The courtyard of the museum hosts many of them, but today the entire area is still completely inaccessible to visitors, so the aim of the project is to make the area available to visitors thank to a digital model of the whole exhibition. Because of the nature of the object an articulated survey campaign was conducted applying different methods; the different results were finally compared and seamlessly integrated into one single 3D digital model. Then two different applications were designed to make it available online or in a kiosk located inside the museum.
