Adaptive Space-Time Processing for Airborne Radar.

Abstract : Significant enhancements have been made to MITRE'S computer simulation and processing capability for predicting the performance of airborne phased array radars, and for applying algorithms using space-time adaptive processing (STAP) to suppress interference signals received by these radars. The enhancements include adding elevation degrees of freedom and near-field scattering effects to the steady-state simulation; providing options to transform measured data and to process it in various combinations of spatial and temporal domains; and adding a graphical user interface that is applicable across computer platforms. These enhancements will provide the capability and flexibility needed for the effective application of the simulations to current and planned programs (e.g., Rome Laboratory's Multichannel Airborne Radar Measurements program).
