A User-Orientated Model of the Soil Water Balance in Wheat

In many regions of the world where agriculture is important, the season for growing crops is often characterized by large variations in water supply. These variations occur both spatially and from year to year. This uncertainty in water supply, along with other important weather variations, creates a risky environment for farmers. Models that consider the dynamics of the soil water balance as related to weather, plant and soil parameters have been proposed as a means of assisting farmers in minimizing their risks.
