Application on matrix pre-filter against athletic interference

Adaptive beamformers are easily affected by severe performance degradation in the presence of look direction mismatches and moving interferences. To solve this problem,a robust beamformer with widen nulls was proposed. The adaptability of the matrix filter in suppressing moving interferences was analyzed firstly,and then,some nulls were formed in the sector of moving interferences with the proposed matrix filter. The steering vector uncertainty set via matrix filtering was calculated using the ellipsoidal calculus and used to construct constraints. Then the optimal steering vector was estimated using robust capon beamforming( RCB) algorithm.Simulation results show that,compared with RCB,the proposed algorithm offers not only higher signal-tointerference-plus-noise ratio( SINR),but also specified widen nulls.
