ANALYSIS OF MAGNETIC LEAKAGE FIELD CAUSED BY A RECTANGULAR SLOT ON THE WORKPIECE SURFACE

According to the principle of longitudinal magnetization of a rectangular steel component(magnetic charges must distribute uniformly along all edges of the sample), the approximate analytical expression of the magnetic leakage field caused by a rectangular slot on the workpiece surface is given, and the spatial distribution of the magnetic field along the symmetrical axis of the slot is plotted through digital calculation. These theoretical characteristic curves basically conform to the classical experimental result made by Dr. F. Frster.
