Simulation research on stability of AC/DC power system based on BPA

As the power system developed very quickly,the stability of AC/DC system becomes much more important in the research of the power system.In a AC/DC system,if the AC system has problem or DC system has problem,the influence to the power system it very important and that is what we need to know.This paper built a ac/dc power system model by BPA,doing simulations under different ac fault and dc fault.By the analysis of the simulation result,we summarize the severity of different faults of dc transmission lines.By the simulation result,we also proved that generator tripping is very useful to maintain stability of power system when the block fault in dc system happens,and we found the relationship between generator tripping and the frequency of generator.
