PENINGKATAN PARTISIPASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS V PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS MELALUI METODETHE LEARNING CELL DI SDN 19 DURIAN KAPEH KABUPATEN AGAM

The background of this research is the lack of V grades student’s participation for IPS subject in SDN 19 Durian Kapeh Agam regency. One of shortages is students are less active in learning process because teachers only use speech method. One of the ways to overcome this problem is the learning cell method implementation. The purpose of this research is to describe student’s capability in questioning and answering for IPS subject in the learning cell situation. This research is class measuring research that consists of two cycles. Subject in this research is 20 students of V class. Instruments in this research are observation sheet of teacher’s activity and observation sheet of student’s participation. Based on results, it is acquired that average percentage from both observers in first cycle to questioning indicator is 50%, and it is improved to 72.5% in second cycles. For answering indicator, percentage in first cycle is 45% and improved to 72.5% in second cycles Based on results, it can be conclude that the learning cell method can improve student’s participation in IPS subject learning for students of V class SDN 19 Durian Kapeh Agam regency. It is suggested that teacher use the learning cell method to increase student’s participation. Keywords: participation, the learning cell, IPS
