Representations of quivers

T hese notes give an introduction to the theory of representations of quivers, in its algebraic and geometric aspects. The main result is Gabriel's theorem that char- acterizes quivers having only finitely many isomorphism classes of representations in any prescribed dimension. Le resultat principal est le theoreme de Gabriel, qui caracterise les carquois dont les representations de dimension donnee (ar- bitraire) forment un nombre fini de classes d'isomorphisme.
